99 Grand Cherokee Laredo - same problem. Replaced water pump due to external seepage. Radiator is full. Overflow is full. Top radiator hose is very warm & both heater hoses are warm. Problem is luke warm air comes out on floor. Hot air comes out defrost and dash vents. Just luke warm on floor.

2000 jeep cherokee limited dual heat one side only blows hot air

You will have to check the flap operating controls behind the centre consol as anything could be wrong from a vacumn pipe to a operating mechanism ,even the computer controlling the climatic control .

Dont get heat

maybe the flow thru the internal matrix is poor due to the water pump being on its way out? Or you could have a small leak that is causing the water to boil under normal driving, have you got any loss of coolant or overheating in the engine - even slight?

Also is there a valve controlling flow thru the core, as some cars have a shutoff valve that may be stuck, should be electrical but may be cable operated on yours as its a 4wd jeep etc.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee the heat is not working or blowing?

2 problems?
No blower motor: Blower motor resistor very common or motor itself or heater controls.
No heat: Start simple with check antifreeze level after vehicle has sat for a few hours. If that's OK then it could be thermostat, heater controls, blend doors, water pump, restriction in cooling system

1996 jeep grand cherokee limited v8

With the water pump removed, you have to heat the body of the water pump. There is a O-Ring that seizes the tube into the water pump. Sometimes you can just loosen the bolt and heat the pump with it still bolted up the engine. Use some pliers to wiggle the tube while pulling the tube. When you put it back together replace the o-ring and add some rtv sealant around the o-ring too. This helps the seizing problem. Hope this helps
