My release lever inside the car stopped working a few months ago and now the key won't turn. Can't get the trunk open at all.

Unfortunetly no. The design is like that so if you leave your top down no one can get into the trunk. You'll have to call a locksmith. Sorry.

Check the coil packs, or the Ignition module. Disconnect the harness to the ignition module. And test the leads to see if there is current. I don't know what the specs should be, but it will be minimal. Never overlook fuses either.

1999 CONCORDE: check the battery terminals probably they are not tight enough...something like that happened to me just the lights turned on and the car seemed to be dead, the battery is still ok since then. I just needed to buy new terminals.

tap the lock cylender with a small hammer it will free up the tumblers and the insert key and its working again.

Check for broken wires running from the body to the trunk lid through the rubber boot.When the trunk is closing you can see the kink in the rubber boot.There are 11 wires to supply 1 solenoid so I think Chrysler knew there was problem.
