The switch on the drivers door is probably faulty and will have to be replaced, but to confirm this, you first have to get at the back of the switch to test if power is there. If you want to try this yourself, instructions for removing the switch from the door panel are included in the car service manual (see Alldatadiy.com).

It is either the wiring in the switch or dead actuator.

SOURCE: Power Door Lock Problem

The last post by maddog1321 was exactly what I had with my right rear door. The electric locks would not lock and unlock, and you almost couldn't do it manually without my feeling I was about to break something. I took the door panel off, oiled everything and got no relief. Finally, I saw the above post and drilled out the aft-most pop-rivet. THE WINDOW WORKED PERFECTLY! I didn't drill out the forward (closest to the handle) pop-rivet because I wanted to do one at a time so the solenoid would not fall out of place. I then put a new pop-rivet in place of the one I drilled out. I then reinstalled everything and the locks work like new.

SOURCE: door locks and power window

Just did this procedure I got from coloradofans.com forums:

"any type of power/voltage change seems to trigger this issue

The most common symptom is power locks fail and only the driver window quits, however that is on the extended cab.

Steps to fix and it works every time.

take door panel off driver's door
Disconnect the wiring attached to window and power lock control unit
disconnect battery cables
connect the negative to the positive cable(((NO BATTERY CONNECTED)))
This will act to short residual voltage in the system

5 minutes later
place the key in the ignition and turn to the run position
connect the wiring to the window/lock controller
connect the negative cable to the battery
then the positive
open drivers side door
turn key to the off position((do not remove yet)) you should get a series of dings through speakers telling you the key is still in the ignition
once it begins dinging pull the key out and you should hear the door lock solenoids trigger and the windows should work." - Coloradofans.com forums

2006 Pontiac g6 door locks gone crazy, locking and unlocking randomly.

I would take a close look at the connections in the power distribution box , also look at the door switches. most likely will find a loose connection coming into the power distribution box.

Power door lock switch?

Sounds like the drivers door lock switch is bad an as far as the auto start remote the contacts under the button get dirty and won't make contact, open the remote like changing the battery and you can probably get at the contact button, if it's a little carbon button they can be cleaned with a pencil eraser and then paper tower with a bit of rubbing alcohol, if it's an actual switch you can try spraying some contact cleaner into the switch. let it dry before you put the battery back in.

Anti theft 06 Pontiac g6 how to reset

It seems like you need to reprogram your key, and this is how you can do it:
1. Sit in your car and ensure all doors are closed
2. Put the key into the ignition while holding the lock button on the driver's door
3. Turn the G6 key in your ignition from "On" to "Off" while holding the "Lock" button, and do two more cycles of "On" and "Off" in quick succession.
4. Release the ock button and press and hold the lock button on the remote for 15 seconds
5. Now, remove the key from the ignition, and it should be programmed, and anti-theft mode would be put to rest
