The gas pedal in my 2006 ford foucs seems to be pushed to the floor but it is not stuck, it just has no resistance, and when my foot is on the brake or in park the engine revs like im pressing the gas and the brake at the same time. Is this a common problem in fords? and how can i fix this?? Does this have anything to do with my needing a new battery??

Check for cruise control - check cable for cruise control is not stuck.
check throttle cable may need oil poured into the cable.
Check floor mat is not wedged onto accelerator pedal

it's time to replace the master cylinder.
whenever you step on the brakes and it goes down to the floor it's because the fluid is leaking pass the rubber cups in the master
cylinder.

My 2006 Ford fusion does not release the key from the ignition when it's in park???

You have a problem with THE SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEM !

The floor shifter assembly:

  • locks the transaxle range selector lever in the PARK position when the ignition switch is in the LOCK position.

  • requires the transaxle range selector lever to be in the PARK position to turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

PINPOINT TEST A: THE SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEM DOES NOT RELEASE/LOCK CORRECTLY

A1 TEST THE BRAKE LIGHTS

  • Apply the brake pedal and view the brake lights.

  • Do the brake lights illuminate?

Yes

GO to A2 .

No

REFER to Section 417-01 .

A2 TEST SHIFT INTERLOCK ACTUATOR POWER CIRCUIT

  • Disconnect: Floor Shifter Harness Connector C3245.

  • Key in ON position.

  • Measure the voltage between floor shifter harness connector C3245-1, vehicle harness side and ground, while applying the brake pedal.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
A3 TEST SHIFT INTERLOCK ACTUATOR GROUND CIRCUIT

  • Key in OFF position.

  • Measure the resistance between floor shifter harness connector C3245-4, vehicle harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes

INSTALL a new selector lever. Refer to Selector Lever in this section.

No

REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

I have 1997 ford 150 pickup. The parking brake pedal is stuck on the floor. I cannot pull or force it up. It doesn't seem to be functioning as the truck operates fine and the brake light is not lit. ...

If you don't have a handle above the brake to pull, it most likely is the type that you step on again to release. Step and press on it firmly - all the way down - and let up slowly. You should feel up pushing back on your foot as you lift it up.

Brake lights stuck on a 2006 Ford F150

On the brake pedal is the BPP ( Brake Pedal Position ) Switch. This seems to not be returning to the off position.

Can you put the truck into drive without pressing on the brake pedal ?

If you can, the BPP switch is the problem ( held in the closed position ), and the BPP switch needs to be replaced.
