I can get lots of heat blowing out, but no matter where the selection dial is set, it only blows out the defrost/windshield vents. Heat can be felt, some, at the mid-level vents, but not really blowing out, and nothing coming out of the floor/feet vents.
Look for a vacuum leak to the heater contols, most likly a hose fell off at the intake manifold area.I bet the engine is running a little fast also.
Check the control cable that operates the diverter door in the heater box at both ends, to make sure that it operates the door when you move the control lever.

Hey Richard, This year model Jeep was bad about breaking A/C doors which will cause the problem you are describing. Here's a way to check the doors, switch each door while listening very carefully for the door operation. For instance, switch it from hot to cold and feel for temperature change, switch to recirc mode and listen fro the air flow to get louder, switch to floor mode to see if it goes to the floor and so on. The most common door that breaks on these is the recirc and when the happens you lose air floor through the other vents. But after pulling the A/C box out your obviously going to check all the doors anyway. Let me know how it goes and have a great day.
