I have 2005 Expedition that has dual climate controls. When I turn on the heat I can control the front temp and fan speed but the back is always on and on max speed. It also only blows cold air from roof vents. I tried to control the temp from the rear temp control knob but it doesn't work. It won't control temp or fan speed. Someone help my kids are freezing in the back seats.
SOURCE: Heater only blows hot (well, warm) on full speed of fan
Replace the temp control on this car, it should be electrical control not cables.

Removal and Installation
SOURCE: Problem:
Problem is most likely in the electronic blend door motor or the door itself has broken.
To access the electronic temperature blend door actuator remove cassette storage box or center shelf unit, if equipped.
Remove instrument panel ash receptacle by depressing service lever. Disconnect electrical harness connector from A/C electronic door actuator motor.
Remove three retaining screws.
Carefully pull A/C electronic door actuator motor outward and off A/C evaporator housing assembly.Make sure the door it self is not cracked where the actuator hooks to it and that it will move.

Thank you all for all the information. I will try the two possible causes and report back. I don't know if this is related but when Iim driving faster than 40 miles per/hour there is a lot of noise under the dash on the passenger side. Sounds like a piece of plastic or bolts bouncing around.
