Check your spark plugs. Without good spark plugs the ignition won't ignite. Just go look for Jeep spark plugs at like AutoZone and they are real cheap. To change them you will need a long socket wrench to twist them out and change each one.

Sounds good ninemil, I would also check for any bent or disconnected fuel lines that would restrict the fuel flow as well. I do not know if this has a fuel pump assembly but you should be able to hear it actuate on when the key is in the "on" position. How did it act before you shut it off? Was it harder to start? Make sure you buy a high quality pump (Carter) many of those cheaper brands will fail trust me.

Try taking the gauge cluster out and cleaning the connectors then apply some dielectric grease. this may help with the speedometer. to remove the gauge cluster, pop off the top vent cover (3 clips), then remove the knee guard under the steering wheel. After that you will see two screws holding down the bottom part of the gauge cluster and 2 more on the top. Hopes this helps!
