I have had the car checked out completely by my mechanic and has tried several different modules for the abs they has checked all wiring and they believe it is working correctly, just lights are still on.the problem started right after I plugged progressive snapshot into my car.could this have messed up the cars computer.

Although I am unfamiliar with the smart cars, it sounds like you just need to reset your computer. Remove the negative cable from your battery, then flip your lights on, pump the brakes, press the horn. What this will do is drain all the capacitors including the ones in your computer. Ultimately it will reset your computer (aka turn off the ABS and TC light) hope this is helpful and good luck

The red brake light is the key here. That usually indicateds a hydraulic problem. Check you fluid level in master cylinder and see if it is low. Also the level indicator sensor there in the master cylinder maybe sticking or corrioded. If ABS sees the red brake light it will shut off and turn on the ABS light, also traction control would be disabled as well.

You have a bad sensor at one of the tires that need replacing that operates ABS and traction control. If you take it in to a shop it will run $130 but they can find which sensor is causing the problem. But if you do it you might have to replace all 4 sensors to make sure you got the right one. Every hard to diagnoses. Its better for the shop cause they can get electrical read outs for each sensor.

The ABS system is very voltage sensitive and will react when a fuse blows or some other component disrupts voltage input. Unplug the snapshot and have the light reset. Drive the car for about 20 miles and see if light goes out .
It happened tk me also toyota Prius
I just got the snapshot and put it in my 2017 Impala. It immediately made my abs and traction lights come on. Then when I get to 50 miles an hour it started feeling like it was putting on the brakes itself. I took it out immediately. It stopped acting strange but the lights aren't going out. I can't afford to take it to a shop. So I'm hoping it's nothing serious that it caused. Never again! I'm upset they would get people to install these with no acceptance of responsibility knowing the results that could happen. Teach me to be trusting. This car means the world to me it belonged to my father that has passed...now what?
