ENGINE MISFIRE There are few possibilities that can cause engine misfire
issues. It can be issue with spark plugs or faulty spark plugs. Also get the
compression test done for cylinders. If any of cylinder shows low compression
then required, then that particular cylinder will cause misfire. Also get obd codes scanned, the error code will let you know
which cylinder is misfiring or all cylinders are misfiring. ----------- For your trouble shooting I suggest you to refer the help

okay, that info is helpful i would have said a coil test but okay with a new distributor it should be good, lets look at the egr valve, with a cold engine start it up and feel the egr tube, this tube feeds exhaust to intake, it should not get hot right away, if it does then egr is open causing misfires, also remove vacuum line from the egr valve just in case it is a bad vacuum solenoid , there should be no vacuum to this vacuum hose with cold engine at idle. let me know the out come.
Hi Aka, Vehicles fitted with distributors do not usually have crank or camshaft sensors. As yours is indicating multiple misfire I believe it does not have a distributor bot instead either individual coils or twin coils per two cylinders. Have a diagnostic scan carried out and that will identify which cylinders have had or are still having a problem. It is sometimes required on some vehicles to delete the fault codes before the vehicle will run correctly. All that an be done during the scan. If there are other problems they will also be identified. Regards John
