That one i can,t answer for you.Becuase i don,t work on those cars that much Call the dealer service department to find out, There is no way to achieve desired presure you want, It is preregulated Buy the regulator, End as i told you before there is no setting on it, Quit listening to all your so called buddies that never worked on a vehicle in there life, I was a certified mechanic for over45 years,That one i can,t answer for you.Becuase i don,t work on those cars that much Call the dealer service department to find out, There is no way to achieve desired presure you want, It is preregulated Buy the regulator, End as i told you before there is no setting on it, Quit listening to all your so called buddies that never worked on a vehicle in there life, I was a certified mechanic for over45 years,

You're probably going to have to figure out a way to lower the fuel pressure because the carb can't handle pressures that high. Holley makes an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and there may be others. Set the regulator at 5 psi. I hope this helps. Take care. Sounds like a fun project if you have any more questions for me use testimonial and it will show up in my email.
Code P1250 = Pressure Regulator Control Solenoid Circuit
This is the fuel pressure regulator. I would recommend you get a Good mechanic to deal with this. Fuel injection systems run at Very High pressures and can be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.
You don't bleed the fuel. You have a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail that does this for you. Turn the key on 3 or 4 times. this builds up pressure. Try to start the car. If it does start, check fuel pressure. Check to hear if the pump is coming on.
This report comes from the fuel rail pressure sensor and is advising that the pump is not providing sufficient fuel to keep up the pressure or the pressure regulator is not operating correctly( vacuum line if connected) or the fuel filter is blocked or the tank is not venting correctly. IT may even be the sensor itself is faulty
You connect a fuel pressure gauge like this to the pressure rail. Pressure in this car must be between 35 and 45 psi. If pressure is too low look for kinked fuel lines and eventually replace the pump. If the pressure drops down more than 10 psi in five minutes or if the pressure is considerably higher than that replace the fuel pressure regulator. Below the parts that may need testing:
Sounds like you have a bad fuel pressure regulator.First pull the vacuum hose off of the pressure regulator and look for fuel if any fuel runs out of it replace the regulator. Then if no fuel ran out, hook a fuel gauge to fuel rail and start engine and look at gauge reading and then pull the vacuum hose off and gauge reading should jump up 5-10 psi if it does'nt replace regulator.
Check the air filter as a clogged one will cause a rich mixture.
Check that the oxygen sensor has been replaced as this controls fuel mixture.
Check that there are no leaky fuel injectors or the fuel pressure is too high.
That's just off the top of my head what could be wrong with your 2004 Mazda.
