1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Electrical issues.

The other day my remote unlock stopped working, no doors except the drivers door would lock electrically, no windows except the drivers window would go down electrically, and the interior lights will not go off as if there is a door open. Any recommendations?

If door switches are ok, check the courtesy light relay located just under the front passenger side(above the fuse box)

The button that pushed in when you close the door could be bad its literally like a $10 part and plugs in and is only held in with one screw. My interior lights used to flash on and off and i replaced that and now good as new, but you would need to figure out which door is doing it by pushing the button in manually

Keyless remote 1996 jeep grand cherokee laredo programing

Instructions
  1. Programming the First Transmitter
    • 1

Unlock all of the Jeepicon1.png Grand Cherokee's doors and open the driver's side door. Keeping the door open, lock it using the manual lock on the door itself.

    • 2

Put the manual key into the ignition and switch it to the "On" or "Run" position, whichever applicable, without starting the engine.

    • 3

Point the remote at the receiver (located by the little bulb on the caricon1.png ceiling) and hold down the "Lock" button for up to 5 seconds.

    • 4

When the driver's side door unlocks, you know the remote has been programmed correctly. If you are only programming one remote, jump to the next step. If not, manually re-lock the driver's side door and repeat steps 5 and 6 using each remote you would like to program and then continue.

    • 5

Turn the key to the "Off" position and turn the ignition on immediately. This must be done within 20 seconds of programming the last remote. You're finished!

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The front left

Try the hazard switch.Do all the blinkers work? This may be a loose connection to the lamp. The window and lock system are on seperate circuits so very unlikely they are related. There is a seperate relay for the blinker and hazards,so a single blinker not working is either bulb or wiring.Widows are operated by motor so check the fuse, wires and and actuating switch. (Door trims off). Also check its not just jammed.Locks, check fuses, switch wires for damage or looseness and the actuator is working.Check the actu. rods are not loose are bent.(need the door trims off for this).Quite a few different things but hope this helps
