SOURCE: Deisal out of gas wont start

Diesel engines are VERY hard to start after running them out of fuel. You might have to bleed the fuel system of air. Every place you can loosen the fuel system and crank the engine let diesel fuel get to that point and tighten that connection back up and then go to the next connection point in the fuel system and do the same thing until you get to the connection closest to the injectors. Also make sure the filters are full of diesel fuel while you are bleeding the fuel system of air. Don't put your hand or body anyplace around where diesel fuel might be spraying out of the fuel system. Some diesel fuel systems put out up to 1000 psi at some points in the fuel system and diesel fuel could be injected into your skin which would be bad for your health.

Good luck

SOURCE: took off this morning and the escape started

you are right, its probably the fuel filter. wow 113120 miles without changing the fuel filter. also, change the air filter and have your intake manifold cleaned. this will greatly improve acceleration and fuel economy. best wishes - hotratchet

SOURCE: Ford Escape engine light on/blinking, faint knocking noise

If your check engine light came on when the problem occurred, then you need to have the diagnostic codes read. I am cheap, so I would suggest going to an Advance or Auto Zone, they will read the codes and interpret them for you in hopes of selling you the part that will fix it. Good Luck. I hope you find this very helpful!

1995 mustang wont start already changed fuel filter and pump is working is trying to start but wont

have you actually checked your fuel pressure? the pump can run but they have a filter sock on them inside the tank that can get clogged. Check the basics; fuel, air, spark, compression. Couldn't hurt to check your codes too, just in case something's in there.

Starting problem

could be more than one problem. If you tried to start it right after you blew the hose, something could have gotten wet. I hope you have tried after everything has dried out.
Also the sound could be something related to the timing. You could have lost a timing belt. Need to look into it alittle deeper. Get more info and let's try again.

Alot of the new fords have small radiator leaks.  If the truck is low on coolant or running above 190 degrees the heater wont work.  Top off coolant and put in some radiator stop leak.  heater should start working now that the engine will run cooler
