Problem started with bad fuel in tank. flushed it. now it will only sputter when turned over. checked plugs then distributor then fuel pressure and cleaned injectors; everything good. Now what?
I had the exact same problem with mine. After replacing nearly everything i took it to a shop today to learn that I had a bad wire on the back of the distributor and the new fuel pump i installed from autozone was faulty and not providing enough pressure.
Have you replaced the Fuel Filter?
Am I correct in saying that this Injection System is Muti Port or Tuned Port?
Ok, Have you checked the Injection System, Since you had bad fuel you could have gotten it up into the Injectors. As a Test Get a Can of B12 Chemtool and Add to the Fuel at Half a Tank. This should help Clean out the Injectors.
If none of them are Getting a Signal, It will have to be a Relay, Fuse, Or the Computer for this Problem. Having the Bad Fuel Problem could have put a Strain on the System trying to Pull the Bad Fuel up to the Injectors. Check those Items. Hopefully it will Fire after you locate this Problem and you will not need to replace the Fuel Pump after all. Let me Know what you find!

maintains good fuel pressure so filter must be ok
tuned port fuel injected
I bought a test kit for the injectors (which yes, I did clean) and none of the injectors are getting an electric pulse.
I've been told that there is a module in the distributor, that works in parallel to the rotor in order for the timing to be right with the injectors, that might be bad or... do you know exactly where this is?
I had growing suspicion that the testing tool that I bought wasn't working and tested it on another vehicle that I knew the injectors were spraying on, the tool didn't indicate pulse then either so most likely the injectors are firing and it has to do with the computer shutting down after initial engine firing.
Alright guys I think I've got this thing figured out. What happens is my engine starts solely on the fuel injected directly into the air intake manifold by the cold start assembly. Then once that fuel is consumed; I stall. I'm 80% sure my injectors are clean and functional what I'm not sure of is if my computer is relaying signal to the injectors. Thanks for the advice you have provided so far. I'm glad I'm now not the only one stumped by this now.
