After replacing a dead battery, the dash lights blink off and on continuously even if the vehicle is in motion. I was afraid that it would wear down the battery having them constantly blink. We found that pulling out fuse 11 (power locks) stopped the blink, but now we can no longer use the automatic door locks. There has to be a better solution. What happened when we changed the battery?
Under the dash on drivers side is the black box for the security system. If you look on the box there is a little red button. Push the button for a couple of secounds and it will click and stop your marker lights and dash lights from flashing. It is a stock anti theft part of the security system. Hope this helps.
I just replaced my battery and had a similar situation with the blinking of the hazard lights. I read your response and found and mashed the button with no avail. I did, however, find a two fuses connected with the box. Through trial and error I found the right fuse to remove that stops the blinking. I assume that the keyless remote no longer works but I do not have that option anyway. Thanks for your help.

Probably your car computer did not reset properly or it has notified and remembered some error. Normally disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes and connecting it back should solve the problem. If not, only way to fix it is to get a diagnostics done.
