1999 acura slx alarm

The alarm starts a fast beep a few seconds after the key is removed from the ignition, Also, the doors will lock after a few moments after removing the key, but not opening the door. Unlocking the door via switch or pulling up on the lock, the alarm will go off (as expected from the alarm's primary function). Only way to turn it off is to leave the key in the ignition and removing the negative terminal from the battery. Key fob does not function to unlock, lock, or turn off the alarm when it is acting up.

CAR ALARM ISSUES

It can be any of the car doors not got properly locked or the door is locked but the switch is not sensing the door locked. Open and close each door again properly.

Or else its problem with any of switch wiring getting in contact with alarm wiring causing it to happen.

And last thing alarm connections need to be inspected. It's getting short somewhere in between.

There are few help links with solutions, to troubleshoot these types of problems. I suggest going through these links.

SOURCE: I was in the store

yes the starter is not getting the required pressure to start the car.as when you insert the key in ignition module the car gives command to the starter and car cranks and throw pressure to the alternater and that throws pressure with current to the sparkplugs and the spark comes and car gets started.as its the faulty wiring that gor misallighned and short circuited.as the wiring has to be checked at each point and that has to be cleared.also check out starter solenoid with starter .solenoid is located in the starter unit.
thanks.

I but a new remote control of my toyota 4runner 1999 and i need i need direction on how to program the remote myself without me going to any dealer for me to save some money

Here are the instructions for programming the 99-02 4Runner Keyless Entry factory remotes:

1. Start with the following conditions: you are in the vehicle

a. Key is out of the ignition
b. Drive door is open ( all other doors are closed)
c. Driver door is unlocked (other door locks don't matter)

2. Insert the key into the ignition (don't turn it) and pull it out.

3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:

a. Cycle the power locks 5 times. Use an even pace and try
to go relatively fast.

b. Close, then open the drivers door.

4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:

a. Cycle the power locks 5 times (same as before).
b. Turn the ignition to ON then back to OFF.
c. Turn the ignition to ON then back to OFF.
d. Remove the key from the ignition.

5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (automatically)
indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to step 1
if the locks do not cycle at this point.

6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:

a. Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter
simultaneously for 1 second.

b. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons,
press the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds.
Within 3 seconds, the door locks should cycle ( LOCK then
UNLOCK) once-- indicating successful programming. If
the door locks don't cycle, or cycle twice. Repeat steps
6a and 6b--this remote has not been accepted.

c. Repeat steps 6a and 6b for EACH transmitter that will
operate the vehicle. Including any old transmitters.

7. Close the driver door.

Good Luck

Most likely your alarm system needs reset. When you use the button to turn the alarm on and off the horn beeps and lights flash. Horn beep when switch turned on, makes sense would be in the alarm system with all you've told.

Hi, my name is Grace and I have a 1993 Acura Legend. Recently, my car's alarm system has been going off each time I open the door with the key or try to start it in the ignition. I'm unable to drive it...

I had the same problem Grace and even mechanics could not figure it out at first. I called 3 Acura dealers to find answers.

Mine began acting up when a door lock broke and when it broke, the alarm started going off out of the blue.

But.....I want you to know that the drainage of electrical that the alarm drained my battery. Jumpstarted battery and alarm would immediately start back up and drain it again. In the end, it fried my alternator. It was pretty crazy because the radio was going off and on by itself with the alarm blaring and no way to shut it off.

Answer is there is no way to remove the alarm system because it is all integrated in by the factory, Acura dealers told me. Your car thinks it has been broken into once the alarm goes off like that, so keeps doing it. The fix was to insert my key into the driver or passenger door lock and turn the key back and forth 3X. That resets the alarm and stops the whole problem.
