98 frontier 2wd making intermittent noise similar to the sound that is made when your tire rides over the safety grooves on the freeway. the sound seems to resonate through the body on the passenger side of the truck. Its not in the engine-its only while riding - ujoints are tight--carrier bearing appears ok--stepped on the clutch when the sound happens to see if it might be the throwout bearing and its not that---will appear at any speed

SOURCE: I Think I have a front wheel bearing problem

Check wheel bering for play if there is no play , it doesn't mean that bearing is NOT bad its can still be dry and would be making that grinding sound you described Also check axle and see if boot is broken. That may be your problem also make sure that rotors are not gouged/scraped up and pads are good.Contact if you need more help and thanks for using FIX YA

SOURCE: Ford F150 2004 4x4 passenger side rear wheel noises

You can try the bearings but I think if you take off the rear rotors and look at the emergency brakes you'll find the problem. You might want to ride the emergency brake a little in lieu of removing the rotors to confirm the problem. Also some wheel covers make noise-drive without them and see if it helps.

I have 2012 grand cherr every little bump u hit it has 20 in tires on it sounds terrible

If you are describing a Grand Cherokee, the tires are half flat at 20psi. This accounts for your road noise. Chances are the tires now have a pattern or groove from under inflation.

Do not know the specs for your tires, but I generally look at the maximum psi molded into the sidewall of the tire and subtract at least 4 psi to fill them.

If you go to the Discounttire.com site or the Tirerack.com site they have detailed descriptions of how tires are rated for Noise as one element.

Sometires have more noise than others. But irregular wear will make any tire noisier than normal. You also could have a problem in the bearings in the front hubs.

If the tires have not been rotated, do that and it might help.

A light shiming at the steering wheel at 45-55 mph. I have replaced shocks terminal are fine, tires balance. 2000 frontier 2wd Crew Cab

It must be more than a slight shimming if you've spent that money on it. Did you check the wheel balance at higher speed, and check the alignment?

Best Tires for Suzuki XL7 (2007)

I live in Australia and Hankook have a good reputation here for longer wear and quiter ride than some others and they are well priced, road noise is an issue with some tires so I would get several opinions from tire places but you should get a similar response if you make sure you talk about road noise being an issue,as some tread patterns are designed for being quiet, bottom line Hankook Tires are fine
