Water leak on drivers side in my 1999 Honda Civic DX Coupe

Water accumulating on drivers side floor only. Did also notice that the pad that leads up the firewall on the drivers side is also wet about halfway up from the floor. The drivers side floor is completely saturated. From what I can tell, both rear passenger floors, as well as the front passenger floor, is not wet. Do not have a sunroof. poured water with a hose directly on the window, window seals, and drivers door. Cannot find where it is leaking. I did have a Honda dealer replace the wiper motor about 4 years ago. could this be the problem? Thanks.

Checked the hose & all appears to be connected & not leaking. The passenger side is completely dry. Thanks for the tip. Do you happen to have any other ideas?

I also checked around the windshield, checked the condensor hose, checked the drain holes at the bottom of the door & all seems ok. I did remove the plastic cowling at the base of the windshield & cleaned the area out really good. There were a few twigs, leaves, and mud, but not enough to clog any drain holes as far as I could tell. I did notice that the top corner of the drivers door doesnt close as tightly as the passenger door. Could this be the problem??? Still need ideas.

Go to the passenger side or driver side there you need to find the A/C drain tube make sure that it is draining outside and not in the compartment area. This drain hose tends to pop out, so when you have the A.C on you notice there is water draining out but in your case its going in thhe car.

Testimonial: "Thanks Reynaldo. When I get the chance, I will run the A/C to see if this is the problem. Wont be able to touch it for a few days. I'll let you know what I find out."

Thanks. Not too sound too much like a "noob", but where in the dash would I find the drain hose? Do I have to dismantle any part of the dash? Thanks again.

No you go to the bottom dot dismantle anything,on the center botton console to the very front pull the rug aside, Do this with the A/C on and see if there is any water falling into the compartment.

Not as likely, but it could be plugged up sunroof drain holes.
Hope this helps.

What are the sympyoms of water pump failure in my1991 honda civic dx?

Bearing rattle should be noticeable leaks water after driving (check right after you stop) from the weep hole. You can.check function this way:

Start vehicle on level ground, remove radiator cap, wait for engine to reach operating temp. If you see water circulating, the pump is operable. If you notice the other two symptoms the pump may be on its way out/ if you continue to drive it, this may cause the serpentine belt (timing belt which drives the pump) to over work as the pump bearings become more difficult to make their revolutions and you could break the timing belt which will cause massive engine damage.

The driver's seat is broken in my Honda civic DX Coupe, how do I go about replacing it?

There's a bolt in each corner of the seat frame that goes thru the frame and into the floorboard. Remove these bolts, disconnect any wires, and pull the seat out. Same with the passenger seat if you want to put it on the driver side temporarily. The seat movement control will be on the inside though when you do this. Not a good idea, bit it can be done. Same seats, different actuator lever position.

Wet floors in my 2004 handa civic LX

AC drain pipe would be the first place to get fixed. Compressed Air into the AC drain pipe should dislodge any blockage.
If your windows fog up when the heater is on it could still be the ac drain pipe as the water sits on top of the heater and then turns to steam when you try to heat up the heating .
A heater core is an extremely expensive repair as it is labour intensive repair

Water is leaking from the drivers side as soon as you fill it with out the car being on it is a 1988 Honda civic dx hatch back

There is something called a "weep hole" on the water pump. Water seeps out of this hole to let you know the water pump is bad. It is to the lower right of your driver's side motor mount right below the head, but it's on the side of the block. From the bottom you will notice this leaking all over your lower plastic timing cover. When you change this pump you are also supposed to have your timing belt changed.

A/c is not cooling

If there's mist coming from the vents, it sounds like the heater core is leaking. Check the coolant level as well as the floor of the car for signs of dampness. You may also find the smell of coolant inside the car. If these signs are present, you should have the heater core replaced. Best of luck and post back with any other questions or concerns.
