SOURCE: reset change oil soon light 2001 saturn L-200

Under the hood, next to the battery, is a fuse box. Lift the lid (instructions are on the lid) and with the keyswitch on but the engine not running, press and hold the button that says "oil". The book says 5 seconds, but hold it for about 10. If someone is watching the dash lights while you do that, the change oil light should flash briefly.

SOURCE: 2007 saturn vue 4 cylinder - change oil

if you've never done this before, i wouldn't experiment...instead, find a friendly mechanic that will do the job and allow you to look on as he completes the work :o)
P.S. ALWAYS take your own WALMART oil filter and use MOBIL ONE, I think your car is 5W20 and takes 4 qts. Then only change the filter every 5k-(when you rotate the tires) and at 15k do a complete drain and filter!
Good Luck

Service engine soon light came on, and went and had it diagnosed and nothing came up, what is the problem?

Service engine soon light, is the oil change reminder. Whoever changed oil on your vehicle needs to reset this reminder manually every time you get it serviced. Hope this helps.

Tundra 2007 - turn off "maintenance required" light

Oil Change Reminder Lamp: Service and Repair
Engine Oil Replacement Reminder Light
This light acts as a reminder to replace the engine oil.
This light will come on when the ignition key is turned to "ON" and will go off after about a few seconds.
When you drive for about 7200 km (4500 miles) after the engine oil replacement, this light illuminates for about 3 seconds and then flashes for about
12 seconds with the ignition key turned to the "ON" position. If you continue driving without replacing the engine oil, and if the distance driven
exceeds 8000 km(5000 miles), the light will come on. The light will remain on thereafter.
If the light is flashing, we recommend that you replace the engine oil at an early opportunity depending on the driving and road conditions. If the light
comes on, replace it as soon as possible.
Resetting the system
The system must be reset after the engine oil replacement. Reset the system by the following procedure:
1. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position with the odometer reading shown.
2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position while holding down the "TRIP METER" reset button.
Hold down the knob for atleast 5 seconds. The odometer indicates "000000" and the light goes off.
If the system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing.

Not sure what the light is for it looks like a motor with a lid on it

2007 - should be under warranty, take to dealer to have them diagnose.

If not under warranty, take to a auto parts place, like autozone (sure provide a lot of free advertising for them here) and have them run the code. From there, you may easily resolve your problem.

If not, post the code and the description here and we can help.

May be as simple as oil change reminder, with the tech who changed oil last not knowing how to reset the reminder.

The redo maintenace light is on

The maintenance req'd lignt comes on every 5,00 miles to remind you that an oil change is due. It has nothing to do with a tune-up or other scheduled maintenance. It is just an oil change reminder, and needs to be manually reset after the oil is changed.
