SOURCE: Dealer has reported that I need the following:
The price on the knock sensor is high due to the labor involved. You have to remove the top of the engine. ALL OF IT.

If you're apprehensive about doing this work, buy a Haynes repair manual (about $20), It shows you how to remove the manifold
Testimonial: "That the best advice I?ve gotten, thanks!"

First pass is 44 inch pounds and second pass is 89 inch pounds. Starts in the centre on both sides and then side to side diagonally similar to doing a head gasket in X fashion. Knock sensor is tightened down snug. No torque is necessary due to the lack any moving parts. The knock sensor is screwed into a blind (or hole with a bottom) hole and just needs to be tight enough to stay. Let me know if you need anything else.
It could be a connecting rod knock, the best way would be to disable each spark plug by pulling the plug wire and if the knocking becomes lighter then thats the indication that particular knock is from that connecting rod or cylinder.
