My truck started winning real bad and then the power steering just stopped working, I went to Advance Auto today got a new pump installed it and I still have no p/s. I am a ase certifed mechanic and have checked the pressure coming out of the line and have pressure, flushed my lines to make sure I have no restrickions I was wondering if I am forgeting something or did I get a bad pump?

check the spark, if spark is weak it will not start, also if battery is weak it will not start, it will crank but most of the AMP from batttery is taken by the starter.

it sounds like tour power steering rack and pinion may be leaking this is what you call the actuator rod.

get in truck shut door . . . turn key to acc position. . .push alarm button on dash near ECT button. turn key back off .. . then to the acc position again. . then push button back like it originally was. this should help i had the same problem . only i was in the middle of the woods with no cell phone signal!

Acheep way to find out is had some power punch to the oil buy a quart for 6 bucks drain a quart of oil and put it in it the light does not xome on then it's fixed. if it still comes on check the pressuere sending unit it could be defective to.
