Engine just started miss firing. Had new O F E wires and plugs installed Still miss firing. No gas fumes and gas mileage is same. Some times if floored engine runs normal, acceleration strong. At stop light idle stays around 700 to 500 rpm's miss firing at times is more than one cylinder.
Got a check engine light? Get the codes read to find out if the misfires are on all cylinders or just 1. Could be ign coil, bad crank or cam sensor, or a valve issue

You can drive it till it breaks of course, that will cost much more then replacing it as maintenance though. I would plan to have it changed much sooner then later as you are already past your recomended service time.

get someone to rev the car and see if the exhaust note sounds muffled!!! i.e blocked or bent if it sounds normal chech fuel pressure and more importantly fuel flow the guy with air flow meter was proberbly right
