When braking at lower speeds I hear a sound coming from the rear of the car which is synchronous with the rotation of the wheels. No other symptoms but suspect that the left rear wheel bearing might have a rough spot in it. May or may not have anything to do with the higher pitch noise I am hearing. Brakes have about 8000 miles on them since the drums were turned and brakes overhauled/replaced. I removed the drum and everything looks good in there.

first check condition of discs and pads if all is good drive and pull up handbrake slowly to see if its the handbrake shoes making the noise if still a problem will most probably be rear wheel bearings

check that you havent bent the baking plate behind rotor or drum that it is just touching the disc rotor and any anti rattle clips on brake caliper that they are fitted correctly.

If you are using a screwdriver instead of a brake spoon - then you will need two screwdrivers - one to rotate the adjuster star and one to push the plate back that holds it.

there is a rubber plug about 1" long and a 1/4" wide remove this plug and you can back the breaks off . as your breaks wear they exspand as needed to keep na full break pedal over time the drum will get a lip on the inside and cause this problem

Try spinning the rear wheels by hand and see if you can hear the noise, if not it may need to have a load on the wheels indicating a possible bearing, or could be a loose brake pad or backing plate. Also see if anything is touching the drive axels.
