The bolts on top get stuck in the mount. Prying back and forth usually gets them to come out. Some times a long pry bar is need. Some times there are 3 nuts on top. If they are inline with the strut, There are 2 , if they are off set , there are 3. Been a while since I've done an older Dodge.
A Sunfire is front wheel drive, so there should not be a rear axle. There is a rear strut, the hub and bearing is bolted to the trailing arm and strut. The tire and wheel bolt to the hub. I would get two estimates for repairs before making a decision. It could have under-body damage too.
The shocks in the rear just unbolt top and bottom, disconnect the air line and replace them.
Struts are used in the front. You'll need to remove them and then have a spring compressor to change the struts. An alignment check is recommended after the struts are replaced.
