Hi Bernie Classic symptoms of transponder fault. Effectively the car is not recognising your key. Try another key if yoiu have one. If same with both keys, then need to check transponder ring and wiring. No bypass I'm afraid....even if there was, could not post due to insurance implications.
Hello Abdul,
I had this problem and the solution is rather strange.... Change the battery in your remote key for a brand new fresh one and see if this solves the problem. Apparently, when the lithium battery is low, the central locking will continue to work but the immobiliser disarming circuit cannot decode the signal.
hi the transponder is the chip in the key my car is the same its the red bit on the key.... and there is a reciver around the ignition barrel where the key go's to start the car its a black circle with 3 or 4 wire's runing to it you can't by pass this but i have been told that some are made with an external P.A.T.S system (Immobiliser system ) but same are built in tio the e.c.u if its external it might be poss to bypass im also so sure you can buy a key coder off the net try googleing it i hope this is a help to you ......
