I have been having the same problem for some time now no heat in the car but lots of heat going up at the motor. I found that it is because of loosing coolant in the system because when I refill at the radiator I solve my heating problem in the car. But I see no leak around the car at all . I suppose it is leaking slowly at the head gasket , could I be right on this?
Almost. Have you looked at your oil stick lately. Is it still light brown or at least black. Please don't say white
Did you get it fixed?
We are getting somewher believe it or not. So far things look good. Did your water level stay normal all day? Is your heater a mechanical control (slider) or electronic (digital display).
So far all answers are good. Next time you have the opportunity, warm your car up to let the thermostat open. Look in your radiator and see if it is blowing bubbles or better, light an ensense and place inside your radiator neck and see if the smoke goes in the radiator or out to you. Tell either way. By they way, live chat would not help so far which is why I haven't opted for it.
