2000 chevy 3\4 ton 4wd standard cab 5.7 liter, auto-trans has spark at plugs, and 60psi fuel pressure at fuel rail,i have replaced the distrubtor pick up module, and plugs, but won't fire up. battery has been replaced and it cranks over just fine?
Check the crank angle sensor
YES, THE PLUGS ARE ON A DIFFERENT CIRCUIT. THE COMPUTER CONTROLS THE SPARK TO THE PLUGS, NOT THE SENSOR. THIS SENSOR SENDS OUT A 0.5ma SIGNAL TO THE COMPUTER SAYING "IM TRYING TO START." IF THE SENSOR RECEIVES THE STARTING VOLTAGE BUT NOT SEND IT BACK, THE TRUCK WON'T START.

sounds like you know what you are doing. take it to the next level. ohm out the coil packs to see if they are good. also you can use a noid light, (which is used to see if the fuel injector harness has power,) to see if each coil pack has power when the key switch is turned on. you can use a scan tool to actuate the coil also. if it doesn't have individual coil packs, then check the coil harness and the harness for the distrubutor. and last but not least, check all fuses and relays.

would I still be getting spark to the plugs if the crankshaft sensor is bad?
where is the crank sensor located on a 2000 chevy 5.7 liter, and is it hard to replace?
OK I FOUND THE CRANK ANGLE SENSOR AND REPLACED IT,
STILL WON'T START, SO I REPLACED THE IGNITIION MODULE AND STILL NOTHING, I CHECKED TWO MORE PLUGS AND THERE WET WITH FUEL, AND I STILL HAVE SPARK. ANY IDEA'S BEFORE IT GET'S TOWED TO A GM SHOP?
