Yeah, it is time to replace your cylinder, because the P300 meansRandom/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected, the P303 means Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected, the P305 means Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected.

this would be the cylinder head by firewall? i will be tackling through the week after work, thanks

It's an interference engine so if the timing jumped that much it's a real possibility that you bent most of the valves... Sorry replace both heads

It's 6 to 8 hrs flag time. That means 8 hours to replace them by an experienced mechanic
and be charged 8 hours no matter how long it takes him.

SOURCE: Timing Belt Problem-6 cylinder Saturn wont' start

If your timing belt broke, then it is possible that the valves in your engine got bent, which won't allow the cylinders to pressurize the fuel/air mixture, and it will let all of the mix to flow freely into the intake/exhaust manifold. This can be checked with a pressure tester that is threaded into the spark plug opening. A mechanic should have one, or you can probably find one at an auto parts store.

I replace the timing belt on a 96 Toyota Camry 2.2 engine why has it jump time I check the belt it was tight will a bad camshaft be the cause

If you find a belt with stripped cogs, it indicates that something in the cam drive system has jammed or stuck, overloading the belt and causing it to shear teeth or jump time. The most likely culprit is the camshaft, which may have seized due to engine overheating or lack of lubrication (low oil level or loss of oil pressure). Check the coolant level, oil level and maintenance records of the vehicle. Toyota has been recommending 7,500-mile oil change intervals for some of its vehicles - which has lead to oil sludging and other engine problems. Changing the oil and filter every 3,000 miles or every three to six months is still the safest recommendation.

2003 kia sportage wont start seems like the timing belt. would the motor be messed up if it jumped time while driving

Oh yes... If the timing belt broke or slipped the valve timing with be off causing the open valve to come in contact with the piston. Before you jump to conclusions take the upper cover off so you can check to see if the belt broke.

Timing belt broke.. Car is 1999 Kia Sportage How do I install it ?? What should i be carefull doing ??

Before you spend a dime on parts for that engine, you have to find out if it is a free running engine or intermittent. Meaning the valves will hit the pistons when the belt breaks. If you drove it more than two inches after it broke, It might be shot, You will have to take the rocker cover/s off to check the cam/s and see if they are ok, Get the cover off the front, You will need a tensioner , and belt, the belt should have marks on it to mate up with the cams and crank, The marks will only line up when the cams are in position, you will have to spin the engine by hand to TDC, then turn the cams over to their marks, then put the belt on, making sure they align, Pull the pin on the new tensioner, you will be all set. The marks have to align, if the engine didn't get damaged, go ahead and do the belt, but, if it was damaged, You will need a bunch of stuff, mainly a new engine. The pistons could be shot, the cams broken, valves bent, etc. Not worth fixing, you can buy an engine for less than that. I had an engine go 11 miles before the cam broke in 3 pieces. never heard a thing. Hope this helps.

'03 Kia Sedona EX - ONLY Error Code - Clogged Catalytic Converter - Causing hesitation and 3 mpg reduction in gas mileage. Van in very good condition, 78,000 miles, 1 yr of 500 Miles/wk of Commuting...

Most "common" cause is and engine misfire that causes unburned fuel to enter the converter and overheat/melt the catalyst. The converter is covered by 8yr/80,000 mile warranty for defects, and may be covered thru Kia. On a positive note we have a 2005 sedona shuttle van a work with 250,000 miles on it and qoing strong.

Cam belt change on a kia sedona recommended milage

The recommended interval for changing the timing belt is in the owner's manual. Generally, this is every 60,000 miles.

Charlie

P.S. I found the data on the internet and, it is indeed 60,000 miles.

How to replace the timing belt on 2004 kia sedona

It's a bit of work for most unless you are a mechanic. I changed my 2003 kia (v-6) Is your a v6? CAUTION: be careful not to lose your timing marks on you dual overhead cams. They will spin a bit when you remove your old belt, due to the tension on the valve springs, so first, turn your crank pulley to the timing mark at top dead center. Also be careful for the timing cover. These are made of really cheap carbon fiber material that will erode upon handling....Again, unless you feel very confident in you mechanical abilities, don't try it....I will soon replace spark plugs on our piece of junk, and I'm not looking forward to that either., but I'm sure for the dealers cost of over $300, I can do it myself, even though I have to remove the whole intake assy.
