1997 chevrolet 1500 electrical problem

My 1997 Chevrolet 1500 has a electrical problem my lights are dim at idle but fine when moving, my guage reads 11 volts when at idle but 14 volts when moving, it studders and feels like its gonna fall flat on its face. The alternator is new, i cant seem to figure out what the hell it is..

Dash lights start out dim volt meter reads 9, 30 sec later dash lights get bright meter reads 13.8 the next time you take drive its dead??? why??

Alternator regulator is faulty
do check the wires on the back of the alt

Your rpm and speedometer cable may broke or come loose from transmission.

alternator is going be the problem, when that stoped working the car was running off the battery when that died your car cut off.

Check the ohm's reading on the fuel injectors, they should each read around 14-16 ohm's cold for most 1997 GM engines, and if any fuel injectors are not within range replace them.
