I have 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My keypad is toast and when I lock my doors using the lock all button on the door panel the alarm sets off when I unlock the vehicle with my key on the driver's side door. Any solutions. I heard there is a code that may need to be set.
Who said you can't unlock a 2004-7 jeep grand cherokee with a slim jim? if you locked your keys in it Answer you go though the back door with the slim jim I been doing this for years screw the locksmiths just did it again
If you lock the car from the outside with the key your alarm will not go off this happened to me too
good luck with buying a new keypad they're over 150 each
You can not prevent the alarm from going off because there is no disarm switch in the door lock mechanism. the only actual solution is to replace the key

the steering wheel is locked, the gear shift is locked I can not start the vehicle. the horn beeps at me opening. locking unlocking the doors. is this a steering lock issue or an alarm issue?
