Maintenance Toyota Solara 2000

Need to know when or how often, months or miles the necessary maintenance should be performed:
Power Steering Flush
Power Brake Flush
Radiator Fill and Drain
Radiator Flush
Fuel Injection
Transmission FLush
Going in for regular oil change tomorrow and had the above completed in years past, my owners manual is of no help and need to know when to have these done again.
PS: Car is purring like a kitten and need to keep it like that! 123,400 miles. Thanks.

Thanks for that info, it will really help me to deal with my service agent tomorrow as he looks at all the colors of my fluids. I'll be one up on him as I rattle off my last services and what you have recommended.

Thanks for the offer to buy, but I doubt that I will be selling my little buz buggy no time soon, it's terrific to park too!

    Thanks for your service!

Lollipops? I just made white chocolate covered popcorn with nuts!

I showed to my husband and he thought the word you were trying to use was dip :) Oh well, I knew what you were saying anyway.

Thanks again, just returned from my car dealer and all maintenance including rotate tires (oil and new trans fluid) were under $100 which was what I had budgeted for. Will probably get a new fuel filter next time I'm in, which will be later this summer.

I have kept my cars running for a long time (250k+) by changing fluids as u are doing, and fixing things right away, not letting them develop into bigger problems, so u are destined to have your car for a long time! Many of the maintenance items u list are typically NEVER done by anyone, but they should be. Here's what I recommend from many years of maintaining my cars:
ps flush-50k or 5 yrs
brake fluid flush- every time u have brakes replaced.
Rad.drain, flush, fill -new coolant is said to be good for life of car, I would flush and refill 50/50 coolant water mix every 4 years.
Fuel Injection- I'll get flak over this, but I never do anything to the system, just change your fuel filter every 2 years, or 20k
Trans Flush-don't have it done if they '**** out' the fluid from the dipstick tube. I consider that method a waste. Have the pan removed to drain it, and replace the trans filter if equipped w/ one (u can't change the filter if u **** the fluid out of the dipstick.) Also, some vehicles have a magnet on the bottom of the trans. pan, which collects fine shavings from normal wear and tear (and pieces of metal from a trans. about to go bad). U need to drop the pan to clean this crud off the magnet.
oil and filter (good quality filter-cheap junky ones are much lighter than a quality one) every 3k or twice a year whichever comes 1st
I'll add: air filter- every 20k or once a year
check tire air pressure once a month, rotate tires for even wear (every 5k miles) Can I buy your well maintained car when u r ready to sell it?

I just read over my response to you, and I see they bleeped out a word I used that that sounds like 'duck'. I guess I should have said, 'if they draw out the fluid with a vacuum' it's a waste of time. Didn't realize I was using a banned word! So, I must go now because I have to go the store to buy some lollipops to .....wait, don;t want to get in trouble, some lollipops to let melt in my mouth. Guess I can't enjoy them as I did as a kid. Happy New Year!

My maintenance light came on, so I went and got an oil change. Then I tried to rset my maintenance light, and it stayed on. I am wondering do I need a routine transmission fluid change, or flush? My car's...

take it to autozone and they will diagnose it for free or take your positive battery cable off for a few and then it should reset but if it comes back on have it diagnosed

Do I need to change brake fluid, clutch fluid and power steering fluid in my 2000 Honda ex 2Dr. coupe? It has 97,000 miles on it.

Unless you have a record of these fluids being changed in the past 18 months you should definitely change them. These fluids will degrade over time and need to be changed at appropriate intervals.
You should also flush the engine radiator and cooling system and replace with new coolant to the manufacturer's specs unless this has been done in the past 18 months.
Also ensure you change the engine oil and filter frequently (certainly more frequently than the manufacturer maximum interval specs which is based on optimum driving conditions which does not reflect reality.)

Frequent fluid changes = cheap preventative maintenance.

Brake fluid - every 2 years minimum
Clutch fluid - every 2 1/2 years minimum
PS fluid - every 3 years
Coolant flush and change - every 2 years
Engine oil - every 3500-4000 miles or 5 months minimum whichever is sooner
Oil filter - every second oil change.

My 2005 solara convertable just turned 43K. I don't have a scheduled maintenance guide. what kinds of maintenance, if any, is there to be done?

nothing major to be done, only thing i could recommend is a transmission fluid flush. this may be early by the book, but these cars tend to burn up the fluid quickly.

Toyota 4Runner/maintenance schedule at 140K miles

The maintenance schedule is an outline and should be followed if you want to keep your vehicle in good condition. the maintenance items listed in the schedule are performed at their set intervals for a reason. Manufacturers have found the wear limits on certain parts and those parts may need to be serviced or replaced at those intervals or catastrophic failures may result.

2007 toyota camry solara, 30,000 mile maintenance, how much should this cost, what needs to be performed?

In reality, all you really need to do is spark plugs, distributor cap, oil change. It is recommended that you change coolant if it's not the long life coolant (orange is long life), flush your transmission. Recommended does not mean have to do, but it won't hurt. The dealer will probably charge you anywhere from $400 to $1000 depending on what they say you should have done.
