Nothing unusual about that.Just another layer of safety . SRS as well as some others safety systems can not distinguish between electrical supply failure or a disconnected/damaged component of that system so default mode becomes the SRS/airbag warning light. You need to go to an authorised Chevy type dealership and have them plug in their relevant test equipment which will test the SRS and if ok it will cancel the warning light.....until the next time you get a flat battery or disconnect it for some reason! It can be a big pain for many crash repair shops. Good luck....Eddy
