The listings show they are compatible for year build 95 to 01 (4.0 V6 Explorer) Get the part # off the alternator and do a cross reference to make sure this info is correct (I've attached an ebay listing for a high output alternator that has part numbers and specifications as a guide) - NEW HIGH AMP 200 AMP ALTERNATOR FITS 95 01 FORD EXPLORER 4 0 eBay
I have no idea myself but found the car memories web site that states the engine specifications and I hope it is correct and matches your engine ?
most likely it would be rounded up to a 5.8 litre capacity
I guess the short answer is I doubt it. The 460 engine should be a big block and the 351 is probably a large 302. I would expect the bolt pattern for the bell housing to be different along with the mounting and the tail shaft. The 460 should have a bigger drive shaft than the 351. If you can get the model of the 460 trans a salvage yard should be able to tell you if they will interchange.
The firing order on the 351 that came in the 1995 Bronco is:
1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8
The spark plug gap should be on the emissions sticker under your hood, usually on the radiator support. It may also be on the underside of the hood.
If you cannot find the sticker, try a .044 gap, if that doesn't work go a little higher to a .052.
What you have is an E4OD transmission and will work with all Ford small block engines (300, 302, 351) in F150,F250, F350 and full size Broncos from 1983-1993.
