Depends on make of vehicle, it has different meanings. In general it relates to an engine stall, gas quality problem, or a fail safe problem.
If the car idles, runs well and not running rich it should be fine. If still would not be a bad idea to check with a dealer.
one thing to check is the throttle valve. its located in the intake by the throttle. when you pull off the air duct and look inside the throttle body you will see a valve that moves when you operate the throttle. it may need to be cleaned with throttle cleaner and a toothbrush. another thing is the throttle position sensor may need adjustment or replacement or the idle set screw may need to be readjusted. some places to start.
