I would buy a Chilton for your car, but I own an Intrepid and the process is pretty dangerous. First of all, if you're not getting power to the motor, a new motor won't help. Also, if the weather stripping is sticking, this will make lowering the window hard. If it is and you need to replace the motor, clamp the regulator into position with vise grips or a C-clamp (This is keep the window from falling down). The motor should just unbolt from the regulator at this point. Again, this is extremely dangerous as the motor holds the regulator in place. You can lose fingers or other body parts trying this stunt. I accept no responsibility for injuries or death, so be careful.

If indeed you need to replace the motor be prepared for a long day. almost all the newer cars now a days are fused together with the regulator and motor as one unit. first you must take the door panel off and it helps to have some tape handy like duck tape or box tape. if you can move the window at all try to get it about 3 inches from the top and put tape on the window over the door frame inside to outside to keep the window from dropping when you take it apart. when removing the door panel be careful not to yank the wires attached to switches. disconect the wires to the outer panel and put flat someplace safe. most likely it will be 7/16 or 1/2 size nuts or bolts holding the unit together. locate and remove these. also the window glass that is attached to the arm of the regulator. once thes are loose slide the entire unit out of the hole in the door. sometimes this is complicated as you may have to twist the unit in about 50 directions just to get it out. once it is out do just backwards to put a new one in. hope this helped.

My driver side front window does not come down but the passanger side front and back and driver back do go up and down. Do i need to change the power window motor or is it the window regulator for driver...

regulator usually wears out and breaks or gets bound and burns up motor, change them both if available. Good sign of bad regulator is sloppy window in track, or window off track. I always replace them together if they are available. it is possible that you just need a switch, but most likely the reg/motor.

Where is the starter on a 2000 chrysler lhs?

I can't tell you what side it's on.... but it is where the motor joins to the transmission. if it is front wheel drive (the motor is sideways). look down about the middle of the engine where it joins the transmission.... that is your starter. you should be able to follow one of the large wires from the battery to it. speaking of which make sure you disconnect the battery before changing the starter.
