01 Kia Sephia bolt sizes and location?

You would need a parts diagram for that specific vehicle to identify each bolt, generally you need a dealership parts catalogue.

It seems overwhelming but it's just a small puzzle. We used to call this a "basket" case.

You are going to need a specific amount of bolts that are the same for each group. Separate the bolts you have into piles of similar lengths and sizes.

Of course you will need to try each bolt hole by hand to prevent installing the wrong threads as well as making sure the bolts you use are the correct length. By determining the length and size you should narrow you hunt down. FOR EXAMPLE: you will need 3 here of the same size and length, 5 there that are long and 2 short, 4 there, etc., Just like you identified the long mount bolt. You can also identify where bolt heads were installed by size and the imprint left from where they were removed.

It's not really that difficult since the bolts are always different lengths and sizes, just don't put a long bolt into a short hole. (measure with a small screwdriver to get the length and make sure your bolt is never longer than the room available and the threads fit.)

Good luck!

Do i need to drop the cross member holding the transmission mount on a 98 dakota

If your just replacing the tranny mount just remove the bolts from that mount and lift the tranny up with a jack .
If the transmission will raise high enough to remove the mount your in luck , if not just remove the crossmember bolts and slide it back enough to clear the mount .
Hope this helps.

I have pulled trans pan on 1996 sunfire but still dont see shift silinoids.where are they hiding?

Most of the shift solenoids are located under the "side" pan of the transmission, not the underside transmission pan. The side pan is difficult to access and might best be handled by someone who has removed this type of cover before.

VW Jetta MKIV - G68 sensor replacement - how to lower transmission?

Use a floor jack or trolley jack under the transmission. Also use a block of wood if you have the jack on the transmission's lower pan. You will see that the whole engine and transaxle assembly will tilt down somewhat with the transmission mount removed. If it is not enough to replace the sensors, raise the jack back up and take off that dogbone, then lower the whole thing again until you can get to the sensors. Be careful when getting the mounts back on, that the engine and transaxle settle down perfectly into the mounts, so you have no vibration issues.

94 gmc 1500 transmission mount broken??

Let me get this clear.. you did not remove the cross member to drop the pan?? WHY?.. If you broke the bolt loose that is made into the transmission mount.. you need to be able to tighten the mount somehow.. if you can't tighten the mount, yes, you need to replace the mount . NEXT TIME - Use a jack stand under the front of the drive shaft to hold up the transmission.. this will make the job easier!!

How to you replace the transmission mount?

Center the floor jack's armature under the transmission pan of the transmission.Use a ratchet and open-end wrenches to loosen the transmission mount bolts. Raise the floor jack until the bolts of the rubber, shock-absorbing mounts can be removed with the mounts. Use the floor jack to lift the transmission high enough off the cross member to insert the new rubber mounts. Insert a transmission mount bolt from the bottom and lower the floor jack until the transmission is seated on top of the rubber shock absorber of the mount. Repeat the process for the other transmission bolt. Here you can find more quality auto parts http://www.carpartswarehouse.com/otherautoparts.html

I need to replace the transmission mount on a '94 1500 4.3L, 4X4. Which is easier, support the transmission and remove the cross member or release the engine mount bolts and raise the drive train? Tks

Supporting the transmission while removing the cross-member is easier. You will have the engine mount holding the whole thing in precise place, while you deal with the crossmember, and the transmission.

Comparing: if you release the engine mount bolts and jack up the drive-train, the whole thing would shift, and you could have trouble when the cross-member fails to go up well enough.

On the other hand, if the cross-member bolts fail to release due to "home-mechanic" syndrome, you have only the first option.

Removing Ford Bronco II 1989 Transmission

I'd recomend you go buy a chilton's manual from the parts store. They have pretty good instructions on how to do this. You probably won't have to remove the motor mounts. Just the transmission mount and the whole thing will drop pretty far.

Motor mount

The engine mounts are located about the middle of the block on the side of the engine. The only other mount is located under transmission.
