SOURCE: Chevy Avalanche GPS makes constant sounds

This is the GM bulletin for your problem: 06-08-44-034C.

You need to have your truck compared to another of the same type. If yours is louder it should be replaced.

How many gear shifts solenoids on a 2005 Chevy Avalanche

The 2005 Chevy Avalanche is available with different transmission and shift options, which can affect the number of transmission shift solenoids present.

However, generally, the 4-speed automatic transmission (4L60E) used in the 2005 Chevy Avalanche typically has a total of 7 transmission shift solenoids. These solenoids are used to control the activation and deactivation of the transmission's clutches and valves, allowing the vehicle to shift gears smoothly and seamlessly.

It's important to note that the number of transmission shift solenoids may vary depending on the year, model, and configuration of the Chevy Avalanche.

Bose radio comes on but no sound in my 2004 chevy avalanche.Sometimes even with radio off you hear a popping sound come from speakers. thanks

First Visually check all your fuses. Does rig have amp for stereo by any chance? It sounds like amp is bad and/or fuse is blown. Amp is wired between radio and speakers, and a shorted amp would make crackling in speakers when radio is OFF

Every now and then there is a static like sound underneath my 2004 Chevy Avalanche. mostly in 1st gear and stops once i hit 2nd and third gears. it is not to loud, but very annoying. what could this be??

that sounds like a loose heat shield on the exhaust sytem ..... thats thin sheet metal under the hot parts of the exhaust system ... you can have them replaced or add new clamps to tighten them its easy to check them on a rack .. .. ..
