I have a 2007 Monte Carlo I'm getting a reading engine hot /A/C not working I did change sensor and still getting the same reading and checked all fuses what else can i do

Take it to a qualified repair shop that has diagnostic information (shop manual ) An has a professional scan tool . Changed what sensor ? Coolant temp ? You don't guess an just replace parts . Doing a full vehicle scan ,checking for DTC'S in all the modules on the vehicle.

ENGINE HOT A/C OFF
Refer to Cooling System Description and Operation
Do the radiator cooling fans work ?
The engine cooling fan system consists of 2 electrical cooling fans and 3 fan relays. The relays are arranged in a Series/Parallel configuration that allows the engine control module (ECM) to operate both fans together at low or high speeds. The cooling fans receive positive voltage from the cooling fan relays which receive battery positive voltage from the underhood fuse block.
During low speed operation, the ECM supplies the ground path for the low speed fan relay, which is Fan 1 Relay, through the low speed cooling fan relay control circuit. This energizes the low speed fan relay coil, closes the relay contacts, and supplies battery positive voltage from the Fan 1 Fuse through the cooling fan motor supply voltage circuit to the left cooling fan. The ground path for the left cooling fan is through the Series/Parallel relay, which is Fan 2 Relay, and the right cooling fan. The result is a series circuit with both fans running at low speed.
During high speed operation, the ECM supplies the ground path for the low speed fan relay through the low speed cooling fan relay control circuit. The ECM grounds the high speed fan relay, which is Fan 3 Relay and the Series/Parallel relay through the high speed cooling fan relay control circuit. This energizes the Series/Parallel relay coil, closes the relay contacts, and provides a ground path for the left cooling fan. At the same time the high speed fan relay coil is energized, the relay contacts close to provide battery positive voltage from the Fan 2 Fuse on the cooling fan motor supply voltage circuit to the right cooling fan. During high speed fan operation, both engine cooling fans have their own ground path. The result is a parallel circuit with both fans running at high speed.
When the requests for fan activation is withdrawn, the fan may not turn OFF until the ignition switch is moved to the OFF position or the vehicle speed exceeds approximately 10 mph. This is to prevent a fan from cycling ON and OFF excessively at idle

Blower relay

This sounds like it's your radiator fan or engine bay fan continuing to run due to the hotter weather we are having. Some fans are programmed to cool the engine bay area if their thermostat triggers them. These conditions usually happen when weather becomes very hot and triggers the system to continue the fan due to excessive heat in the engine compartment. Usually not a bad thing and should stop when weather cools down. What is worse is if the fan doesn't work. Keep an eye on it and see if it continues to do this when weather cools down.

My radiator fan is not working and I cannot find any of the relay fuses I have seen in other cars for this type of problem.

Follow the wiring back from the fan motor, the relay is often found at about the height of the bottom of the radiator on the inner fender. Check that connection is clean and free of corrosion. Check that the fan works by taking two trailing wires directly from the bettery terminals and connecting then to the fan motor directly. Use a voltmeter and check the voltage at the relay when engine is cold and shortly after the radiator top hose from the engine becomes hot (the coolant sensor should have signalled for the fan to switch on at this time). No voltage indicates a break in the circuit or faulty sensor. Voltage but no fan indicates faulty relay

How do i check the cooling fan my car is over heating

HOT WIRE COOLING FAN USING JUMPER WIRES TO BATTERY.IF FAN DONT RUN WHEN HOT WIRED FAN MOTOR BAD NEED REPLACING. IF FAN RUN WHEN HOT WIRED. CHECK COOLING FAN FUSE AND RELAY.IF ALL IS GOOD.YOUR ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR NOT WORKING.IT CONTROL COOLING FAN AT SET TEMPERATURE IF SENSOR OPEN OR FAULTY THE COOLING FAN WONT TURN ON.CHECK COOLING FAN WIRES FOR DAMAGE.IF ALL STILL CHECK OUT GOOD HAVE VECHICLE SCANNED FOR PCM FAULT.IF IT FAILS NO COOLING FAN WONT TURN ON.

Fan doesn't run while in idle and begins to over heat until I start driving agin then it cools back down to normal. Also the fan runs when engine is off and drains the battery.

The fan is only supposed to come on when there is excess heat .. in normal driving conditions it doesn't start. When you start your car in the morning the fan won't come on because the engine is cold.

With a hot engine - and it depends how hot the engine is - the fan will only kick in to prevent overheating. In heavy slow moving traffic or a traffic jam, the fan will kick in if needed.

The air flow through the radiator is usually sufficient -in normal driving conditions - to cool the engine.

When you park up and the car has a hot engine, the fan will kick in. This is perfectly normal. It is caused by a surge of hot coolant triggering the fan sensor. Perfectly normal.

The fan then should cut out after a while .. maybe 2-3 minutes at the most. If the fan runs continuously that suggests a fault in the temperature sensor switch.

Next time - wait by the car and see how long it takes for the fan to quit after you have parked up. It should stop of its own accord after a couple of minutes.

If the fan cuts off after a short while, and your battery is becoming drained, that's probably a battery or alternator fault.

Remember: when you start the car the fan won't kick in at idle speed because the engine is COLD, and there is no reason for the fan to start up ..
The fan WILL kick in for a couple of minutes after you have parked the vehicle and the engine is hot

Over heats while not moving then cools again when on the road

Sounds like the radiator cooling fan is not operating. LIft the hood and let the car idle. At about the same time the top rubber hose from the engine to the radiator becomes hot the fan should come on. Check the fan fuse, fan motor relay and also the temperature sensor in the engine. Finally check the fan motor has not seized and that the motor still works (put 12volts across it). The car cools when on the move as air pushing through the radiator due the motion has a cooling effect

Both radiator cooling fans won't turn on vehicle overheats

The fans come on only when hot or the AC is on. There are many fuses that have to be good for it to work. The fan relay should have 2 pins hot with the key on, The other 2 should be ground. with the key off one should be hot and the other can then be ground the other pins that are ground one of them is the fan. the other becomes ground when the computer turns the fans on. If you don't have a pin thats hot at the relay all the time then theres a blown fuse or even the power wire from the battery at the battery
