    When i press the button
on one of the key fobs for my 1998 Kia sportage it doesn't`t disarm the immobiliser. It was working most of the time but now not at all. The other key fob is working but hit and miss. I have checked all the fuses in the car and none have blown. I've cleaned inside the key fobs in case of dust and changed the batteries. Is there a way around the immobiliser?

We fixed the problem.Look in the fuse box on right hand side under steering wheel near door and check your fuses. We had a blown fuse 3rd down from top, number 15 with stop on it.Changed the fuse and immobilizer works again. Everything going again and radio no longer cutting out. Hope this works for you. Good luck.

We had a similar problem with key fob sometimes it would work and unlock the car other times it wouldnt same with starting the car it got to a point where it wouldnt start at all we changed to no avail. but we decided that it could be the buttons on the fob that were at fault. if you go to your local kia dealer and qoute the part number of the key fob which is 0k03b677t1 get them to order you one. change the internal parts over into new fob and it should work.. ours did perfectley. if you can not get your local dealer to get a part in call kia dealer in bayswater vic 97531888 hope this is helful we were there yesterday and they had 4 in stock $20au

My 1998 kia sportage does not start, something is draining the battery, had the alternator, started and battery tested, all good. So what's draining the battery!

The #1 most common cause is lights being left on or lights coming on at night when the temperature drops. Lighted visors are a common problem.

HOLD keeps coming on in my 99 kia sportage what does that mean

Look on the shifter lever, just bellow the push button. There is another push button there. That's the one you press or depress to keep the transmission on 3rd. gear. Just press it again and the hold light should come off.

If you don't have any brake lines leaking, change the master cylinder, bench bleed the new one then bleed the blakes, starting with the right rear, left rear, right front, then left front. If the booster was gone, you would hear air leaking out of it when you pressed the pedal down.
