SOURCE: I am getting a code of 0700 transmission control system malfunct.
this seems like a problem of a loose belt inside your trans. if it hits overdrive and slips into nuetral till you lower the rpms then yea its a problem inside the trans.
SOURCE: transmission slips and reverse stopped working
you need your transmission rebuilt the clutches are slipping

The factory specs for the Transmision Shifting Positioner would be different TSP adjustment should need to be tighter in Looser out I know it seems backwards but that is how it works. If I am hauling I bring it in and vise versa I believe 99 have a TSP Cable. on the throttle body.if not your transmission kit might have a problem.
