My PT cruiser dies intermittently---The battery light comes on and then it dies---after stalling the Wipers, door locks, do not work generally can be cleared by activating/deactivating the door locks via the key or disconnecting the positive cable from the battery will allways work---appears to be worse on cold start and then appears to quit after car is operating at empature.
Sounds as if the alternator is not charging the battery. Check the alternator for voltage it should put out around 13 volts at idle and normal operation. If it charges then the battery is defective. A good place to start is clean the battery cables to remove any corrosion and make good contact. Many an electrical problem has been solved by cleaning battery cables.

on the wiper arm at the bottom is a plastic cap. remove it and underneath is a 13 or 15 mm nut line the wiper back up and tighten the nut. the wiper should work.

I bought mine 12/01/2003. It had 59,000 miles on it. It is a 2001 model. I am still driving it. It has around 223,000 miles on it now. I have had some things replaced in it. It overheats occasionally. I will drive it until it dies!

the pump wire is probably not making good connection with the pump that is why the washer fluid wont work try and clean the connection. the pump is located under the fill tank
check for a bad relay for the wipers not working. the relay will be under the hood or under the dash next to the fuses. the cover will tell you what piece is the relay. the relay controls the delay in the wipers so that is probably bad and you can get them at napa for cheap. and simple to install its just like a fuse.

You could have a bad wiper motor circut board problem. You can pick on up at a parts store for less then at the dealer but check to make sure it's the board and not the switch it self.
Good luck and hope this helps.
