Question about 1999 Saturn SL

DASH LIGHTS WHEN MY CAR IS RUNNING THE BRAKE REPAIR LIGHT COMES ON AND MY DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS GO OUT.WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM IS. MY CAR IS A 1999 SATURN SL

Check the emergency brake handle. When it is pulled up even one click (in my car) the brake light on the dash comes on and the daytime running lights shut off. Either the handle is up just far enough to activate the switch and not the brakes or the switch could be bad or loose.

    I have a Saturn Vue, and my emergency brake light is on constantly! The problem is either one of three things. Either your emergency brake lever is pulled and needs to be let down, your brake pads are going bad and need to be replaced, or your leaking brake fluid. These are the main things that I have found that could be the problem. Can't get it fixed yet though, need $! Hope some of these help.

My headlights wont work on lower beams
I was told it is a relay switch under the dash called a daytime running light changeover relay. Its the only large rectangular relay 1 1/2 x 3 inches. My daytime running lights dont come on either when starting the car along with low beam, I'm getting this at a dealer tommorrow I can let you know if that does it.

The headlight stay on all the time, either daytime running lights or all lights. The car has a sensor bulb in the dash. If you pull the headlight switch on and then push off, they still stay on. Trying...
This sounds like how the headlights on this vehicle are designed to operate. They can be manually turned on if in DRL mode. Setting the park brake before turning the ignition on should keep them from lighting, otherwise they are always on. The light sensor switches between lowbeam and daytime running light modes.

How to turn off headlights with truck running 99 gmc truck
push parking brake down one small click. this will turn off daytime running lights but brake light will come on on dash. don't push it to the floor just like a half inch. if you never use your parking brake and push it all the way in it might get stuck

Daytime running lights dont work on 1996 Tahoe
Check all the fuses. Could be a bad relay for the head lights.

Shut off daytime running lights?
You can't disable them it's illegal. If you need to shut them off while the engine runs say at drive-in, apply the parking brake (this works on some but not all cars, and don't try driving with parking brake engaged just one click).

The ding noise is getting your attention the daytime running light flashing is saying no daytime running light are working.
Check engine means no headlights.
Check fuses
check to see if the headlights are plugged in.

Daytime running lights don't come on 96 chevy 1500 not switch at parking brake or fuse
I had this issue with my 1999 C1500.  I had to jump my truck a couple of times, because I left the inside light on and I found when I did this my daytime running lights worked briefly.  I wondered why, but didn't give it much thought.  I had to replace my battery a couple of months ago and my daytime running lights started working all the time.  Even though my battery would start my vehicle, run the interior components, etc., it didn't have enough voltage for the daytime lights.  Check your battery voltage under a load, see if it helps.
