The only thing i can say is my brake warning lights stay on saying check brake system everything has been changed and brakes work fine the garage said my light must be broken then my low oil light started comming on add oil and it will go out for a day then on again now im losing oil pressure my gauge goes from 40 at takeoff to 20 at a steady pace what could possibly be wrong they said it could be anything oil pump or engine problems but i dont have time or money to waste on could bes is there anyway to find out for sure without shelling out a lot of cash to find out what it could be!!!!!
The first thing any good technician would do about the oil pressure is remove the sending unit and hook up a mechanical test gage to see what the pressure is, GM oil pressure gages are famous for this very complaint, most likely the oil pressure sending unit is defective. As far as the other problems go it could be related.

Two quarts is about half the capacity. The pump was probably starved of lubrication and is failing.
If that's not expensive enough, you may now have a problem with a damaged engine. You may want to just put that money into a new vehicle.
I don't think the car would have enough power in its present condition to get high enough to reach a cliff, and driving it into a lake would not be environmentally sound. Besides, the fine would not be worth it.
The cheapest and easiest maintainance that anyone can do on a car to avoid expensive repairs is still checking the oil ever 1000 miles (filling if necessary!) and changing it every 3000.

get oil pressure test done and check for codes in PCM

The fact that the oil was low would not be from the oil pump, but from wear in the engine. If it is not smoking when you start it or as you drive, you can probably keep it running by just keeping the oil level checked at each fuel fill-up. As for the car shutting off, you didn't say if the engine seized or got real hot. A low oil pressure problem should have triggered a warning light before the problem got to the point where you lost the engine.
If the car ran after you added the oil, you got lucky and need to always check it.
