Bad news. Your CD player isn't any good. I work for Chevrolet and this is a very common problem. The magazine inside the radio (the part that holds the cd's) starts going crooked. I think some real tiny springs that hold it break, causing this problem. Only fix is to replace the radio. First try this. Go to the fuse box under the hood and remove the 'Radio' fuse for 1 minute. This may reset the radio. You may be able to eject any cd's stuck in the radio. May be cheaper to put in an after-market radio. Sorry.

Have you check the mute mode, maybe it is in mute mode.

The case needs unscrewing to reveal more of the internals. Go carefully and peer inside wherever you can to fiddle the CD back into place or out of the box. It's in there somewhere, removing panels will get there.

Try to disconnnect power to it so it will reset itself then try using a cd cleaning disc in it. If the problem still persists the unit is probably faulty. Cd changers was 90's technology it is time to step up to an MP3 source or music on a usb drive. You can store much more music.
