My son has a 95 Saturn SL1 that sometimes will not start. The starter will click, but it won't turn over. Put jumper cables to it and it starts right up every time. It may start for a few days or a few weeks, then suddenly won't start again. Go through the same process. No pattern to the problem; not related to temperature, time of year, length of time sitting, etc. He's had the battery replaced (twice), cables replaced, starter, alternator and fuses checked. The electrical system was also checked. Of course it always starts when it is at the garage. What could be causing this?

Thanks, we'll check it. We don't do repairs ourselves unfortunately.
how much does it usually cost?
Same exact problem. Everything checks out fine and car starts fine for months, but then has periods of intermittent starting. No other symptoms. Right now, it starts about 60% of the time. I always park on a hill so that I can push start it.
your drop down for year does not display the year of my Saturn...so I put 93 when it's a 97
