My 1998 Jeep Wrangler has been one problem after another since I got it, but the effect temperature has on it is the second most infuriating. The worst is that it EATS starters... If anyone can let me know how to find recalls of some use, let me know (the guy above too).

You are going to have to check the codes. Then we will know what the engine is asking for.
A code reader can be bought at Canadian Tire for $30 to $40.

The check gauges light is normal because at 400 rpm it isn't running fast enough to build sufficient oil pressure. I am guessing maybe a vaccum leak???

SOURCE: jeep starts and idles perfect no acceleration,

Sounds like the catalytic converter or muffler are clogged. There isn't much exhaust at idle, but when you accelerate your exhaust volume increases, thus if your catalytic converter or muffler are clogged the restrict the exhaust escaping out thus causing an excess of back pressure which won't allow the engine to breathe normally.

Do i have to take the engine out to change the oil pump on a 98 jeep wrangler 4.0 I-6

Actually oil pumps in the JEEP 4.0 are notorious for going out or wearing at 1500000 miles as you will find in most blogs and topics. And the 4.0 is a very solid motor capable of 300,000-400,000 miles if taken care of,unless driven hard I wouldnt say it would be worn out!

98 Jeep wrangler, fan/air won't cut off

Replace the blower motor resistor. You can unplug the fan till you get one. Usually located behind the glove box.

98 Jeep Wrangler turn signals and flashers don't work

The tail lights on the 98 use the screws that hold the light to the body of the jeep to ground the lights. Chances are the wholes that the screws/bolts goes into have a coating of rust around them and are stopping the lights from grounding. This may not be the solution but you need to eliminate this from your list.

98 jeep wrangler 4.0 acceleration problem

There are various reasons that this could happen:
  1. Your throttle body needs completely cleaned and decarbed
  2. The Throttle Position Sensor, IAC might be dirty
  3. o2 sensors might need replacing.
How many miles does your vehicle have?
