The Transmission in my 98 Blazer recently started pouring more ****** fluid than Ican afford out of the bellhousing it appears. No where else do I find signs of leakage and I can only find sign of it at speeds over 65 and thats because of the wall of white smoke that suddenly appears in my rear view at those speeds and is caused by the fluid burning off the exhuast crossover.

Easiest is from on top of motor. Its a paine in the A. A quarter of a turn at a time. Unless you can lower trans down far enought to get a long extention and a swivel socket on them, but i always found it easier from the top.

A fluid leak that is pink and/or red colored is usually either power steering fluid or transmission fluid. I recommend checking both. You can check the power steering fluid when the car is off. However, the transmission fluid should be checked with the engine warm and idling in neutral. Have someone else step on the brake or use the parking brake and block the wheels while you're measuring the transmission fluid level.
