Vw passat radio code

I don't know how i locked my radio, i never tried to take out the radio and my battery terminals never came loose. I shut off my car, got gas, and when i got back in it said SAFE!!!! I tried to entera code i found online and it put my radio in safe 2 mode. I don't want to go to a dealership and pay for the code, its christmas time, im broke!!! Can anyone please help me?

    i have a jetta volkswagon and my radio blew a fuse or something :p and so i got my brothers old radio it needs some sort of code. i did some research and i got the # vwz9z7y7303519 off my radio. can anyone here provide me with some code

I took out the radio, but did not find the code.

    We bought a passat from someone and had no radio code.However they did have alot of old workorders from where they had things done at the dealers and in the comment section on these we found the code listed . It will start with RC then 4 numbers. Hopefully at some time the car was taken to a dealer and you have some old paperwork to look at. Good Luck

    call the dealer with the vin and stereo serail # and the stereo id# they should give it to you for free, they did for me!

Thanks much that worked. The code was place at the side of the unit where you have the manufactures code. And that was 4 digit. and is 1851.

If you call Volkswagen dealer they will be able to tell you thee code and are supposed to provide this service free of charge.
If you have the original owners manual you should check the audio booklet for this information also.
All codes are different. You can only try so many times before it is locked permanently

2002 vw passat epc light comes on and when slowing down engine shuts down showing code 0322 what is my problem
Code P0322 states: Ignition/ Distributor Engine speed input circuit NO SIGNAL. the sensor is on the left side(as you sit in the vehicle) of the engine block near the transmission flange. Know this, codes do not tell you if the part is bad necessarily just where to look. Wires and connectors can fail too. I don't know how to test this sensor without a scan tool, the good kind. Which i don't have.

Didn't know my 93 vw golf had an alarm, now I had to disconnect the battery to shut if off.. what do I do to fix this?
I'm not sure if you have an aftermarket or factory alarm, but try this: hook up the battery and try unlocking/locking the door with the key. If you have a remote door lock, hit unlock/lock on that. I have come across a couple of cars this was all it took to stop the alarm, never tried with a VW though. Hope it works, good luck!

you can purchase an adapter for the cigarette lighter to prevent this, otherwise hook up another battery to the car while exchaning batt, use booster cables

How to exit Radio Safe mode on my passat
Hi
Wiih most radio units....If you have the proper code and have NOT tried more than 15 times to enter an incorrect code....you should be ok.
Turn OFF ignition switch and remove the key. Switch OFF interior lights. Switch ON Radio unit and SAFE will appear.
Leave everything alone for a period of ONE HOUR. During this time NO power (no matter how small) should be drawn from the battery. This is why the interior lights MUST NOT come ON when the door is opened. Trunk should also remain closed. In the event of any power been drawn from the battery in this time...You must start all over again.
Radio should after this time return to standard mode...Usually 4 flashing bars. Then enter your code. Dont forget to lock in the code and all should be fine

Car radio in safe mode, don't have the code
No the vin number has nothing to do with the radio code the dealer has a automated phone number they call and tells them how to retrieve a code and the manufature gets the unlock code from this,try to google radio unlock procedure for the vw passat.
