Something is still not right about the way it is grounded. Grounds can be a pain sometimes, check the ground again, you might try putting a little grease on the cable. This will help it conduct and prevent oxidization which can occur in a matter of hours. Also if it arched then you could have a carbon burn which will also keep it from making the proper connection. Again redo it and put some grease on it, works wonders sometimes. Hope this helps. Gillight
Hi the only other thing it could really be is the wheel bearing itself, usually in subarus they grind or clunk with wheel movement so if you go faster so does the noise, a garage would be able to tell you strait away as you cant really pull them apart without the right gear. Also check the strut, very unlikely but if a spring is collapesd it wll make a similar noise but wont speed up etc, its also worth noting that a cv can make the noises you describe but it would have to be completly destroyed and quite noticable hope this helps
CLICKon the following LINK. It has the Belt Diagrams you will need.

First thing to have checked would be the front CV axles. If the rubber boots rip and allow the grease out it can damage the joints and they will make a clicking sound. Worn out axle joints can also bind and make it feel jerky. If they are making that loud of a noise it could become a safety issue, have them checked out soon.
It sounds like the Belt was too loose and was not allowing the Alternater to Charge the Battery. I would Jump the Car off just long enough to get to the Mechanic and have the Belt, Alternator, and Battery Checked out In addition to the Radiator.
