Jerking and brake related issue

For some time now, my car has been jerking, sometimes this happens when i slow down or when i take a bend, it eventually slows down and normalises though but what could be the cause? and also, a different thing abt the brake which i think is not connected to the jerking problem is that sometimes when i apply brake, the car dosnt stop, this happens occassionaly, and it was after my car was towed when it was not on and while the towing was going on the person at the steering at the back was applying brake occassionally and meanwhile d break was very stiff since the car was off.

The jerking may be due to uneven braking on either side of the car it may be that a piston is stuck. need to take car off the road remove tyres then brakecalipers a good indication that a piston is stuck is when you disconnect the brake lines and pull pads/caliper of the rotor the piston will be extremely hard to move

SOURCE: CLUNKING SOUND IN REAR UPON APPLYING BRAKES 2000 CIRRUS CAR

I would check the brake caliper hinge pins. If the pins are worn, every time you apply the brakes the caliper moves forward against the pins. If the caliper pins and or caliper are worn they will clunk when the brakes are applied.
Check to see if the caliper shifts forward and back.
Let me know.

SOURCE: jumps forward when brakes are applied at intersections when stopping Doesn't happen all the time.

I don't know if this would be considered a solution or not but in 2006 Ford implemented a new transmission (6 speed automatic) and they have and still have a lot of problems. It is fixed (helped may be more appropriate) by a computer upgrade done by the dealership. MY wife has had nothing but problems out of her 2006 limited ford explorer. The whole computer system had to be replaced at 32,000 miles and then they charged us to upgrade the new computer they put into the car. It's almost comical at this point. The transmission problem has been solved for the most part on our vehichle but it took several ford computer updates. I hope this helps!

My car jerks going down the road its a 95 Buick century and it changes gears fine when I take off just stares jerking a few days ago

When you say it "jerks," this description could fit several actual symptoms. If by "jerks" you mean the engine misfires, it could be caused by the need for a major tune-up (including plug wires and distributor cap), or it could be a problem with fuel delivery, contaminated fuel, or defective components in the fuel system.
I assume the CHECK ENGINE light is on (and has probably been illuminated for some time now). Begin by doing a readout of the stored codes, and use the results to begin your diagnosis.
If by "jerks" you mean the transmission is slipping (engine revs but car slows down or doesn't accelerate), you have a transmission issue. If the transmission fluid and strainer/filter have not been replaced within the past 5 years or 50,000 miles, have a complete transmission service performed.
If by "jerks" you mean that the steering wheel wobbles or pulls, you have a problem with the front suspension.
If by "jerks" you mean that the car shudders or pulls when you apply the brakes, you need brake work.
I think I covered all of the "jerks." ;)

1. When I brake to stop, say at a stop light/sign, just as I come to a complete stop, the entire car jerks forward a bit even with my foot on the brake. This happens EVERY time I stop. The jerking/lurching...

Sounds like an automatic transmission problem, specific the clutch. Either a rebuild or a new one. Check the fluid level and smell it to see if there is a strong odor. The collar should be cherry red. If it's brown, it's cooked.

My son has 1987 Toyota Celica ST with a 3S-FE engine. It sometimes has acceleration issues. For lack of a better word, it jerks while accelerating. But it only does this at times. Other times it works...

Same problem happened to my 1993 Nissan 240SX SE Hatchback. Turned out to be the flywheel for some odd reason. Try that! Also in my opinion it could be bad spark plugs or a clogged fuel filter. Usually those would be the main reasons.

2004 BEETLE WILL NOT REV PAST 3500 RPM in gear or neutral

Hi it sounds like you need the throttle cable replacing or adjusting it can be adjusted to a certain amount but it may be that it has stretched over time and needs replacing.
If the car runs ok other than not revving up properly then the chances are it will be the cable and nothing else.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
