Sudden shut down

spray the slider that controls it with electrical contact cleaner and move it all the way up and down a couple of times. mine did the same and resolved it that way 3 months ago.

my jeep does the same thing. do you know if your 3rd tail light is out? i have a theory.

crank shaft sensor, as soon as car warms up, it will skip (engine stutter(, then when engine cools, so does crank shaft sensor. Good Luck

The brake light switch is defective or out of adjustment. More than likely located on the brake pedal arm near the top.

no,this is a BCM (body control mudule) failure,have it check at a dealer.

Remove the harness plug and check each pin for corrosion and connection to the wire behind it. The problem is a wire or wire connection, but I can't tell you which one but likely its a ground or power lead as sensors would usually not shut it off but would give you a component failure code and check engine light.

remove seats and pull carpet. now see which wires they melted with that torch. Tape them up so they aren't shorting out any more as best you can.

remove the door switch, clean and reinsert. It switched ground to a black cable, which goes to the PCM.
